Syracuse St. Patrick's Day Parade

Syracuse ’s St. Patrick’s Day parade dates back to 1982. Known for Syracuse University's dominant Orange theme color, Syracuse's parade celebration green beer at Coleman's Irish Pub in Tipperary Hill and a painted shamrock in front of the pub.

When:

Saturday, March 15, 2025. starting at 12 pm.

Where:

On your phone, you can use the Google map to get directions to your Division to line-up.
Zoom in to the Division number you are assigned
Click the numbered arrow indicating the location your Division starts
On the description tab/screen, click the right-arrow in the upper right corner of the screen to open that location on Google maps on your phone
Please note that roads leading up to the route will be closed, such as James Street and W Genesee Street (Route 5) heading west, W Water Street, Erie Boulevard W, and S Salina Street.
BE ADVISED: It is best to enter the route at the intersection of S Geddes St and Erie Blvd W (near Arby’s), heading east on Erie, until you reach your position on the Parade route. Marshals will be available along the way to direct you.

The parade now includes representatives from Syracuse 's Irish groups.

Attending the parade as a spectator

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow.

Transportation and Parking

Mass transit s a great way to get in and out to see the parade.
